حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَكِيمٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَامِرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ
سَلَّمَ إِنِّي أُحَرِّمُ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ يُقْطَعَ عِضَاهُهَا أَوْ يُقْتَلَ صَيْدُهَا وَقَالَ الْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ لَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا أَحَدٌ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا إِلَّا أَبْدَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهَا مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ وَلَا يَثْبُتُ أَحَدٌ عَلَى لَأْوَائِهَا وَجَهْدِهَا إِلَّا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَهِيدًا أَوْ شَفِيعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

English Translation
'Amir ibn Sa'd narrated from his father (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'I declare sacred what is between the two lava tracts of Madinah: that its thorny trees not be cut nor its game killed.' And he said: 'Madinah is better for them if only they knew. No one leaves it out of aversion to it except that Allah replaces him with someone better than him. And no one endures its hardship and difficulty except that I will be a witness — or intercessor — for him on the Day of Resurrection.'
