English Translation
Yahya ibn Zakariyya ibn Abi Za'idah narrated from his father, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Arqam ibn Shurahbil, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell ill, he commanded Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. Then he felt some relief and came out. When Abu Bakr sensed his presence, he tried to step back, but the Prophet ﷺ gestured to him (to stay). He sat beside Abu Bakr to his left and began from the verse where Abu Bakr had reached.
