English Translation

Waki' narrated from Sharik, from Simak, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: A trade caravan arrived in Madinah, and the Prophet ﷺ bought from it and made a profit of some ounces (of gold), which he distributed among the widows of Banu 'Abd al-Muttalib. And he said: 'I will not buy anything for which I do not have the price.'
