English Translation
Mus'ab ibn Sa'd narrated from his father (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ was brought a bowl of tharid (bread soaked in broth). He ate from it and some remained. He said: 'A man from the people of Paradise will enter from this mountain pass and eat this remaining portion.' Sa'd said: 'I had left my brother 'Umayr ibn Abi Waqqas preparing to come to the Prophet ﷺ, and I hoped it would be him. But 'Abdullah ibn Salam came and ate it.' 'Abd al-Samad narrated to us from Aban from 'Asim — and he mentioned the same meaning, except that he said: 'I passed by 'Uwaymir ibn Malik.'
