English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Wuhayb narrated to us, 'Abdullah ibn Tawus narrated to us, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما): the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited a man from selling food until he has taken full possession of it. I asked him: "How is that?" He said: "That is dirhams for dirhams while the food is deferred" — meaning it becomes a form of riba.
