English Translation

'Affan narrated to us, Aban ibn Yazid narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Abu al-'Aliyah al-Riyahi, from the cousin of your Prophet ﷺ — meaning Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما): the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ used to make these supplications during times of distress: "La ilaha illa Allah al-'Alim al-'Azim. La ilaha illa Allah Rabb al-'Arsh al-'Azim. La ilaha illa Allah Rabb al-samawat al-sab' wa Rabb al-'Arsh al-Karim" (There is no god but Allah, the All-Knowing, the Magnificent. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Noble Throne).
