حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سِمَاكٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أُتِي
تُ وَأَنَا نَائِمٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَقِيلَ لِي إِنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ قَالَ فَقُمْتُ وَأَنَا نَاعِسٌ فَتَعَلَّقْتُ بِبَعْضِ أَطْنَابِ فُسْطَاطِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا هُوَ يُصَلِّي فَنَظَرْتُ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ فَإِذَا هِيَ لَيْلَةُ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, Simak informed us, from 'Ikrimah who said: Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) said: "I was visited while sleeping during Ramadan, and it was said to me: 'Tonight is Laylat al-Qadr.' I got up while still drowsy and held onto some of the ropes of the tent of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and found him praying. I looked at that night, and it was the twenty-third night."
