حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْ
فَضْلِ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَيِّمُ أَحَقُّ بِنَفْسِهَا مِنْ وَلِيِّهَا وَالْبِكْرُ تُسْتَأْذَنُ فِي نَفْسِهَا وَإِذْنُهَا صُمَاتُهَا

English Translation
'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Malik, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Fadl, from Nafi' ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The previously-married woman (ayyim) has more right over herself than her guardian, and the virgin is to be asked for her consent regarding herself, and her consent is her silence."
