English Translation

Abu Ahmad narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Uthman, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The best of your kohl is ithmid (antimony) — it sharpens the eyesight and makes the eyelashes grow.' And he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a kohl container from which he would apply kohl every night — three times in this eye and three times in that.'
