حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الْخَثْعَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي كَعْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ النَّبِي
ِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قِيلَ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَبْطَأَ عَنْكَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَقَالَ وَلِمَ لَا يُبْطِئُ عَنِّي وَأَنْتُمْ حَوْلِي لَا تَسْتَنُّونَ وَلَا تُقَلِّمُونَ أَظْفَارَكُمْ وَلَا تَقُصُّونَ شَوَارِبَكُمْ وَلَا تُنَقُّونَ رَوَاجِبَكُمْ

English Translation
Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Tha'labah ibn Muslim al-Khath'ami, from Abu Ka'b, the freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), from the Prophet ﷺ, that it was said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, Jibril (عليه السلام) has been slow in coming to you." He said: "Why would he not be slow when you are around me and you do not use the siwak, you do not trim your nails, you do not clip your mustaches, and you do not clean your teeth?"
