English Translation
Mu'adh ibn Hisham narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from Qatadah, from 'Ikrimah, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "O Prophet of Allah, I am an old, sick man, and standing in prayer is difficult for me. So direct me to a night so that perhaps Allah will grant me success in catching Laylat al-Qadr." He said: "You should observe the seventh (of the last ten nights of Ramadan)."
