Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Malik and 'Abd al-Jabbar ibn Muhammad both (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that 'Ubaydullah — meaning Ibn 'Amr — narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Karim, from Qays ibn Habtar, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he forbade the price of wine, the price of a dog, and the price of a cat.
