حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَل
َّمَ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ الْحَجُّ قَالَ فَقَامَ الْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ فَقَالَ أَفِي كُلِّ عَامٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ لَوْ قُلْتُهَا لَوَجَبَتْ وَلَوْ وَجَبَتْ لَمْ تَعْمَلُوا بِهَا وَلَمْ تَسْتَطِيعُوا أَنْ تَعْمَلُوا بِهَا الْحَجُّ مَرَّةٌ فَمَنْ زَادَ فَهُوَ تَطَوُّعٌ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Sulayman ibn Kathir Abu Dawud al-Wasiti narrated to us, he said I heard Ibn Shihab narrating from Abu Sinan, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us in his Farewell Pilgrimage. He took the handhold of al-Fadl ibn al-'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) and said: 'O people, I have been commanded to perform the Farewell Tawaf around the Ancient House.' Then he performed tawaf around the Ka'bah.
