الفضل بن العباس
al-Fadl ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (died 18 AH) was the cousin of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the eldest son of al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib. He was with the Prophet ﷺ during Hajjat al-Wada' (the Farewell Pilgrimage) and performed significant services including riding with the Prophet ﷺ and helping the Prophet ﷺ perform ghusl at death. He narrated hadiths from the Prophet ﷺ and was martyred during the plague of Amwas (18 AH) in Syria. He is counted among the companions who participated in the battles.
