الفارابي
Abu Nasr Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Farabi al-Turki (c. 872-950 CE / 257-339H) was a Central Asian philosopher known as 'the Second Teacher' (al-Mu'allim al-Thani), after Aristotle. He was the first to comprehensively systematize Aristotelian logic and philosophy for Arabic readers and integrated it with Neoplatonic thought. His Mabadi Ara' Ahl al-Madinah al-Fadilah (Opinions of the Inhabitants of the Virtuous City) developed a theory of the ideal Islamic polity. He also wrote extensively on music (Kitab al-Musiqa al-Kabir). Islam.wiki note: some of his philosophical positions diverge from mainstream Islamic theology; he is significant historically as a major transmitter of Greek thought to the Islamic world.
