Mu'adh ibn Anas al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from the Juhaynah tribe who settled in Egypt after the Islamic conquests. He narrated hadiths on the virtue of patience, certain supplications after completing the prayer, and various acts of worship. Among his notable narrations is a hadith recording the Prophet's supplication after finishing the obligatory prayer, which includes asking Allah for a good ending to one's life. He is also known for narrating the hadith that whoever removes his garment of arrogance in the world will be clothed by Allah with a garment of dignity in the afterlife. He became a recognized religious authority in Egypt, where he transmitted prophetic knowledge to the next generation of Muslims. His narrations appear in the Sunan of Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and Ahmad's Musnad and are cited in chapters on supplication and character. He died in Egypt, though the precise date of his death is not well established.
