al-Tasuli

Ali ibn Abd al-Salam al-Tasuli (1204–1258 AH / 1789–1842 CE) was a leading Moroccan Maliki scholar who taught at the Qarawiyyin mosque-university in Fez. His al-Bahjah fi Sharh al-Tuhfah is one of the most important commentaries on Ibn Asim's al-Tuhfah, the foundational legal poem of the Moroccan Maliki tradition. His work is a key text in the transmission of the Maliki school in Morocco.
