Ali al-Sallabi

Ali Muhammad al-Sallabi is a contemporary Libyan Islamic historian and scholar. He is best known for his extensive biographical and historical works covering the lives of the rightly-guided caliphs, major companions, and historical figures. His multi-volume biographies of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, Saladin, and others have become standard references for accessible Islamic history written from an Islamic perspective.
