Abdullah ibn Abi Aufa al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) was a Companion of the Prophet ﷺ from the tribe of Aslam who participated in the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah and pledged allegiance under the tree. His participation in Hudaybiyyah placed him among those specifically mentioned in Quranic verse 48:18 with Allah's pleasure: 'Allah was pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you under the tree.' He participated in six military expeditions alongside the Prophet ﷺ and settled in Kufa after the Prophet's passing, where he became the last surviving Companion in the city. He narrated hadiths on prayer, the funeral prayer, charitable giving, and the Prophet's military conduct. The scholars of Kufa and subsequent generations sought his narrations for their directness to the prophetic source. His reports appear in Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and the Sunan collections. He passed away in Kufa around 86–87 AH. This entry is a fuller listing of the same Companion also recorded as Ibn Abi Aufa.
