Maimuna bint al-Harith al-Hilaliyya (RA) was the last woman to marry the Prophet ﷺ, with the marriage taking place in 7 AH during the Umrat al-Qada. She was a widow and is described in Islamic sources as a woman of great piety, generosity, and devotion. Her sister Umm al-Fadl was the wife of al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib, making Maimuna a sister-in-law of the Prophet's uncle. The Prophet ﷺ was particularly fond of her and she was known for her constant prayers and generosity to the poor. She narrated approximately 76 hadiths on the Prophet's prayer, purification, personal conduct, and household life. Her narrations provide unique windows into the Prophet's private domestic practices. She passed away in 51 AH in the same location — Sarif, near Mecca — where she had been married, reportedly having requested to die there.
