Mufti Afzal Hoosen Elias

Mufti Afzal Hoosen Elias is a South African Islamic scholar and Hanafi mufti based in Johannesburg. He studied Islamic sciences in South Africa and at Darul Ulum Deoband in India. He is associated with the Darul Iftaa of Johannesburg and is a prolific author of accessible English Islamic books including Quran Made Easy (a Quran commentary), works on Islamic jurisprudence, Islamic history, and daily Islamic practice.
