Biography

Muhammad Bello ibn Uthman ibn Fodio was the son and successor of Uthman dan Fodio as Sultan of the Sokoto Caliphate in West Africa. He was both a political leader and a prolific Islamic scholar, authoring over 60 works on Islamic jurisprudence, governance, history, and other fields. His most famous work, Infaq al-Maysur, is an important history of the Sokoto jihad.
