Rabi'ah ibn Abi Abd al-Rahman

Known as Rabi'ah al-Ra'y, he was the principal teacher of Imam Malik in Madinah. He was celebrated for his independent legal reasoning (ra'y) alongside hadith, forming a bridge between the Companion era and Malik's school.
