Ruqaiyyah Waris Maqsood

Ruqaiyyah Waris Maqsood (born 1942, born Rosalyn Rushbrook) is a British Muslim author and religious education teacher who converted to Islam. She taught religious education in British schools for many years and authored numerous accessible books on Islam for Western readers and new Muslims. Her works include Teach Yourself Islam and Bringing Up Children in Islam, which addresses the practical challenges of raising Muslim children in a Western environment. She has been widely influential in Islamic education in the UK and among English-speaking Muslim communities globally.
