سعيد النورسي
Said Nursi (Bediüzzaman Said Nursi) (1290–1379 AH / 1873–1960 CE) was a Turkish Kurdish Islamic scholar who wrote the Risale-i Nur (Epistles of Light), a vast Quranic commentary addressing the crises of faith in the modern age. Born in eastern Anatolia, he first pursued traditional Islamic scholarship and engaged in political activism, later suffering imprisonment and exile under the Turkish secular republic. In exile, he produced the Risale-i Nur collection — over 6,000 pages addressing the relationship between faith, reason, science, and modern challenges. The collection has been translated into many languages and has influenced millions of Muslims worldwide. He is considered one of the most important Islamic thinkers of the 20th century.
