Sayyid Abul A'la Mawdudi

Sayyid Abul A'la Mawdudi was a Pakistani Islamic scholar, journalist, and political thinker who founded the Jamaat-e-Islami in 1941. He developed a comprehensive Islamic political philosophy advocating for an Islamic state governed by divine law. His prolific writings, including his Quranic commentary Tafhim al-Quran, were widely influential in 20th century Islamist thought.
