Suhaib Hasan

Suhaib Hasan Abd al-Ghaffar (born 1938 in Pakistan) is a British-based Islamic scholar who has served as Secretary General of the Islamic Sharia Council of Great Britain and as imam at Masjid al-Tawhid in London. He studied Islamic sciences in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom. He is best known for his book An Introduction to the Science of Hadith (Ilm al-Hadith), which provides an accessible overview of hadith terminology, classification, and the major hadith collections, widely used in Islamic studies courses among English-speaking Muslims.
