A massive compilation of narration-based tafsir (tafsir bil-ma'thur). As-Suyuti gathered interpretive narrations from the Prophet, the Companions, and the Tabi'in from dozens of earlier sources, many of which are now lost. While it does not include chains of narration (as-Suyuti's abridgment), it preserves a vast treasury of early exegetical material and is an essential reference for hadith-based Quran interpretation.
