A comprehensive biographical dictionary of the Prophet's companions, listing over 3,500 entries. Ibn Abd al-Barr provides names, lineages, conversion dates, and key narrations for each companion. Ibn Hajar later wrote al-Isabah partly to supplement and correct this work.
