The most famous and widely relied upon biography of the Prophet Muhammad. Ibn Hisham edited and annotated the earlier Sirah of Ibn Ishaq, removing unreliable material and adding linguistic and historical notes. This work is the primary source for virtually every later seerah writer and preserves the earliest connected narrative of the Prophet's life from birth to death.
