أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ مَس

ْرُوقٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ الْخِيَرَةِ، فَقَالَتْ :" قَدْ خَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفَكَانَ طَلَاقًا؟ "

English Translation

It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave us a choice, and we chose him, so it was not considered a divorce.'
