أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ أ

Body (Matn)

َبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" انْطَلِقُوا بِمَاعِزِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، فَارْجُمُوهُ ". فَانْطَلَقْنَا بِهِ إِلَى بَقِيعِ الْغَرْقَدِ ، فَوَاللَّهِ مَا أَوْثَقْنَاهُ وَلَا حَفَرْنَا لَهُ، وَلَكِنْ قَامَ فَرَمَيْنَاهُ بِالْعِظَامِ وَالْخَزَفِ وَالْجَنْدَلِ

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Said al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Take Ma'iz ibn Malik and stone him.' We took him to the Baqi cemetery and stoned him. When the stones struck him he fled, but we overtook him at al-Harra and stoned him until he died.
