أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ : أَن

َّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُؤَيِّدُ هَذَا الدِّينَ بِالرَّجُلِ الْفَاجِرِ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Jubair ibn Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said regarding the captives of Badr: 'If al-Mutim ibn Adi were alive and had interceded for these filthy ones, I would have released them for his sake.'
