Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ بِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ عِنْدِي مُدُّ تَمْرٍ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَوَجَدْتُ أَطْيَبَ مِنْهُ صَاعًا بِصَاعَيْنِ، فَاشْتَرَيْتُ
مِنْهُ، فَأَتَيْتُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ :" مِنْ أَيْنَ لَكَ هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ؟ ". قُلْتُ : اشْتَرَيْتُ صَاعًا بِصَاعَيْنِ. قَالَ : " رُدَّهُ وَرُدَّ عَلَيْنَا تَمْرَنَا "

English Translation
It was narrated from Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I had a mudd of dates for the Prophet ﷺ, and I found a better kind, one sa' for two sa'. So I bought it and brought it to the Prophet ﷺ, who said: 'Where did you get this, O Bilal?' I said: I bought one sa' for two sa'. He said: 'Return it and return our dates to us.'
