أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَوْسِ بْنِ

Body (Matn)

الْحَدَثَانِ النَّصْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قالَ : سمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ هَاءَ وَهَاءَ، وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ هَاءَ وَهَاءَ، وَالتَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ هَاءَ وَهَاءَ، وَالْبُرُّ بِالْبُرِّ هَاءَ وَهَاءَ، وَالشَّعِيرُ بِالشَّعِيرِ هَاءَ وَهَاءَ، وَلَا فَضْلَ بَيْنَهُمَا "

English Translation

It was narrated from Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Gold for gold hand to hand, silver for silver hand to hand, dates for dates hand to hand, wheat for wheat hand to hand, barley for barley hand to hand — and there is no excess between them.'
