Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : أَهْدَى بَعْضُ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْهِ قَصْعَةً فِيهَا ثَرِيدٌ، وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتِ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ، فَضَرَبَتْ الْقَصْعَةَ فَانْكَسَرَتْ، فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
يَأْخُذُ الثَّرِيدَ فَيَرُدُّهُ فِي الصَّحْفَةِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ :" كُلُوا غَارَتْ أُمُّكُمْ ". ثُمَّ انْتَظَرَ حَتَّى جَاءَتْ قَصْعَةٌ صَحِيحَةٌ. فَأَخَذَهَا فَأَعْطَاهَا صَاحِبَةَ الْقَصْعَةِ الْمَكْسُورَةِ. قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : نَقُولُ بِهَذَا

English Translation
It was narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that one of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ sent him a bowl of tharid (meat and bread), and he was in the home of another wife. She struck the bowl and it broke. The Prophet ﷺ gathered the food and returned it to the dish, saying: 'Eat — your mother became jealous.' Then he waited until a whole bowl came, and he took it and gave it to the owner of the broken bowl.
