أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَرْعَرَةُ بْنُ الْبِرِنْدِ السَّامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ

، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" مَنِ احْتَفَرَ بِئْرًا، فَلَيْسَ لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَحْفِرَ حَوْلَهُ أَرْبَعِينَ ذِرَاعًا عَطَنًا لِمَاشِيَتِهِ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Abdullah ibn Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: 'Whoever digs a well, no one may dig within forty cubits around it as a watering place for his livestock.'
