Hadith #1898
Arabic Text

English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled in favor of the pre-emption right (shufa') in all joint property that has not been divided — whether a house or a wall. A partner may not sell until he informs his partner; if he wishes, he may take; if he wishes, he may leave. If he sells without informing him, the partner has the right to it.
