Hadith #881
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : رَأَى بِشْرَ ب
ْنَ مَرْوَانَ رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ يَدْعُو عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، قَالَ : فَسَبَّهُ، وَقَالَ : " لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَعَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَمَا يَقُولُ بِأُصْبُعِهِ إِلَّا هَكَذَا، وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ عِنْدَ الْخَاصِرَةِ "

English Translation
It was narrated from a companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw Bishr ibn Marwan raising his hands on the pulpit on Friday supplicating, and he cursed him and said: 'I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the pulpit — he did not do more than point with his finger like this.'
