Chain of Narration (Isnad)
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ :

كَانَ عُمَرُ إِذَا سَلَكَ بِنَا طَرِيقًا وَجَدْنَاهُ سَهْلًا، وَإِنَّهُ قَالَ فِي زَوْجٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ :" لِلزَّوْجِ النِّصْفُ، وَلِلْأُمِّ ثُلُثُ مَا بَقِيَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated that Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'Whenever Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) took a path, we found it easy. And he ruled in the case of a husband and two parents: "The husband gets half, and the mother gets a third of what remains."'
