Chain of Narration (Isnad)
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ
Body (Matn)
أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : " قَضَى مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ بِالْيَمَنِ فِي بِنْتٍ وَأُخْتٍ،فَأَعْطَى الْبِنْتَ النِّصْفَ، وَالْأُخْتَ النِّصْفَ "
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from al-Aswad ibn Yazid that he said: 'Mu'adh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) judged in Yemen in the case of a daughter and a sister: he gave the daughter half and the sister half.'
