حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ : أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ كَانَ" لَا يُوَرِّثُ الْجَدَّةَ وَابْنُهَا حَيٌّ "

English Translation

It was narrated from al-Zuhri that Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) used not to give a grandmother an inheritance share while her son was still alive.
