أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ الْكَلَالَةِ، فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي سَأَقُولُ فِيهَا بِرَأْيِي، فَإِنْ كَانَ صَوَابًا فَمِنْ اللَّهِ، وَ
إِنْ كَانَ خَطَأً فَمِنِّي، وَمِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ : أُرَاهُمَا خَلَا الْوَالِدَ وَالْوَلَدِ "، َفَلَمَّا اسْتُخْلِفَ عُمَرُ ، قَالَ : إِنِّي لَأَسْتَحْيِي اللَّهَ أَنْ أَرُدَّ شَيْئًا قَالَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Asim, from al-Sha'bi, that he said: 'Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about al-kalala (one who dies leaving neither parents nor children as heirs). He said: "I will give my own opinion about it. If it is correct, it is from Allah; if it is wrong, it is from me and from Satan. I hold it to mean those other than a parent and a child."
