حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" الْمَوْلَى أَخٌ فِي الدِّينِ وَنِعْمَةٌ، أَحَقُّ النَّاسِ بِمِيرَاثِهِ أَقْرَبُهُمْ مِنْ الْمُعْتِقِ "

English Translation
It was narrated from al-Zuhri that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The client (mawla) is a brother in religion and a person of favor. The most deserving of people to inherit from a freed slave are those who are closest to the one who freed him.'
