حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حدثنا مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ فِي رَجُلٍ أَعْتَقَ مَمْلُوكًا، ثُمَّ مَاتَ الْمَوْلَى وَالْمَمْلُوكُ، وَتَرَكَ الْمُعْتِقُ أَبَاهُ وَابْنَهُ، قَالَا :" الْمَالُ لِلِابْنِ "

English Translation

It was narrated from al-Hasan (al-Basri) and al-Sha'bi regarding a man who freed a slave, and then both the patron (mawla) and the freed slave died, and the one who freed him left behind his father and son: 'The estate goes to the son.'
