حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، وَعَلِيٍّ ، وَزَيْدٍ ، قَالُوا :" الدِّيَةُ تُورَثُ كَمَا يُورَثُ الْمَالُ خَطَؤُهُ وَعَمْدُهُ "

English Translation

It was narrated from al-Sha'bi, from Umar, Ali, and Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them all), that they said: 'Blood money is inherited just as property is inherited — whether for intentional killing or accidental killing.'
