حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ي

ُونُسُ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ مَسْرُوقٌ يُنَزِّلُ الْعَمَّةَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْأَبِ، إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ أَبٌ، وَالْخَالَةَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْأُمِّ، إِذَا لَمْ تَكُنْ أُمٌّ "

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Amir (al-Sha'bi) that Masruq used to place the paternal aunt in the position of the father when there was no father, and the maternal aunt in the position of the mother when there was no mother.
