حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، وَعُمَرَ ، وَزَيْدٍ ، قَالُوا :" الْوَالِدُ يَجُرُّ وَلَاءَ وَلَدِهِ "

English Translation

It was narrated from al-Sha'bi that 'Ali, 'Umar, and Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them all) said: "The father pulls the walaa' of his child (to his own masters when he is freed)."
