حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ

إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عُمَر : " الْمَمْلُوكِ يَكُونُ تَحْتَهُ الْحُرَّةُ،يُعْتَقُ الْوَلَدُ بِعِتْقِ أُمِّهِ، فَإِذَا عُتِقَ الْأَبُ، جَرَّ الْوَلَاءَ "

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibrahim that he said: 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "If a slave is married to a free woman, the child is freed through his mother's freedom. Then when the father is freed, he pulls the walaa' (to his masters)."
