أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أنبأنا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ : " # كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ إِنْ تَرَكَ خَيْرًا الْوَصِيَّةُ لِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالأَقْرَبِينَ بِالْمَع

ْرُوفِ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ سورة البقرة آية 180 #، قَالَ :" الْخَيْرُ : الْمَالُ، كَانَ يُقَالُ : أَلْفًا فَمَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ "

English Translation

It was narrated from Qatada regarding the verse: {It is prescribed for you, when death approaches one of you and he leaves some good (wealth), to make a bequest for parents and near relatives according to what is reasonable — a duty upon the righteous} (Quran 2:180): "'Good' means wealth. It used to be said: a thousand or more."
